Fireworks cheer up the sombre skies
As torpid winds weave through the clouds
Exhibiting itself till the flame dies
Secreting amidst the misty shrouds.

Sparks fly spreading their magic
Stoking life’s essence from within
The absence of heat turns magic
Dimming the spirits that lie between.

When the storm has cleared the way
The diminished flame brings a myriad of memories
What was magical has gone astray
And tragic moments will never cease.
