Sasquatch
Forest denizen, do not dilly dally, or think your den sounder
Go in search of more secure fertile fallow fissures to founder

For a haloed hallow to haunt
For home's holler, a respite in want

A yeti wanders, fur warmed in sun
Hairy feet in big steps on charcoals run

For the blackened treeless void doth chase
Mysteries from human heart's thorny embrace

Legends flee from their limpid hidden langour
Into habitation's familiar floodlight rancor

Greeted by curiosity's destructive embrace
Greedy for pinned-down knowledge to face

We'd kill God himself to prove He exists
Shocked that the world, now godless, persists

And turns ever in our nets, in strung-up trap
Pooled below, at it's trickled-down bloodlet we lap

And lament in groaning sobs, with our gnashing teeth
In mourning of meaningful encounters we weep
