The Word Become Flesh
Insight sparked by God's Word
Will open our minds to see,
That it's only in surrender
That we can ever be fully free.
It may sound like a paradox,
Or perhaps an oxymoron,
But in surrendering to Jesus
We have freedom we can count on.
For He alone can guide us through
The danger inherent in this world.
And show us spiritual protection
We can only find in God's Word.
He knows the Word, on a higher level
And in a unique and personal way.
So He can show us how to use Scripture
To triumph over sin day by day.
We usually think of Him as God's only Son.
Still, we must not allow ourselves to forget
The first thing we learn in John's gospel...
That Jesus is the Word become flesh!
