faded infatuation
I lay reminiscing the days of my antiquity -
I was stuck on a trapeze of forlorn hope.

Like the only tree standing
In the flash of lightning,
I was blinded by that trapeze
Seeping into my vision.

As if you were the ruins of yore,
Dwelling still in the dark.
But as a mere aftermath -
That the cosmos is a kaleidoscope.

Moving timelessly,
Unravelling incessantly.

A poem about falling out of love. It doesn’t hurt anymore, but reminds us how times change.
