Praying IVG Into Existence
A trans woman stands, strong and proud,
But deep inside, she wears a shroud,
Of sadness and longing, of unfulfilled dreams,
Of children she wishes to have, it seems.

For generations past, her family tree,
Has passed on their knowledge, matrilineally,
And she longs to continue this line,
To pass on her wisdom, to children of her design.

But the path ahead is fraught with strife,
As society often denies her the life,
To have children of her own,
To raise them up, to see them grown.

Yet still she yearns, with all her heart,
To have a child, to play her part,
In the chain of life, that has gone before,
To pass on what she knows, forevermore.

So she stands, resolute and strong,
Knowing that she may have to wait long,
For the day when her dream will come true,
When she can hold her child, and impart all that she knew.

And though the road ahead may be steep,
She knows that her love is vast and deep,
And that one day, her children will know,
The strength and wisdom that she did bestow.
