Language, a discourse of words, is a writer's plight,
Challenges abound, day and night.
Distractions around me, tempting my mind,
Pulling me away from prose, focus now blind

Moods change like a pendulum's sway,
Making or breaking a creative day.
One moment inspired, the next, forlorn,
Yearning to persist, my passions reborn.

Energy wanes, exhaustion takes hold,
The flow of writing cannot be controlled.
