Lost and torn, within myself
Pleaded for peace to be born,
Chaos surrounded, alone in despair,
No one to listen, no one to care
Empathy in your eyes, a healing stare,
Your hand reached out, a solace rare
Holding to your grasp, as you lead the way,
Into your arms, where darkness gave away
Tears fell freely, where warmth enveloped,
You're whispers echoed, "All will be well"
In your arms, I found respite,
Holding me close, a hug so tight
Through hardships, you guided unseen,
A better version of myself to glean,
Never alone, though at times I'd sway,
You stood beside me, day by day
Dear God, gratitude from deapths profound,
For every moment, love unbound,
You heard my cries, saw my pain,
In disdain by others, you never wane
Always there, your love extends,
To those in need, it comprehends,
Every prayer, every plea,
Drawing closer, you're with me
