How wonderfully strange

I thought I might be
A synesthete
As I can relate on all
angles

Thursday was always green
Wednesday, purple
I always associated red
With math
& English studies, yellow

I see auras around you
Like a hazy ghost
They range in colors
From the Chakra system

Smells are associated
With memories
But I don't think that has
Any relation

When I close my eyes
I'm entertained by different
Kaleidoscopic formations

This occurs in
a mere
4% of people
Mainly women
& left handed humans

It's often present
In those artistically inclined
Musically gifted
Or have a knack for writing

Synthetes have a great
Memory
When it comes to numbers
But they often mix up 6 and 8
Due to the overriding colors

There are over 60 different types
Of synaesthesia
I think it's like a 6th sense
Beautifully rearranging

I'm not sure I'm part of
The 4%
But I'm a lefty
swimming through frequencies
& vibrations

These crossed wires
Of sensory information
Flutter effortlessly
around my mental station

This mind,
A dynamic creation
