Bird set free
Greetings dear boy.
You seem to be lost,
how much does living in your head cost?
I had to let go of your hand,
I couldn't hold on anymore.
The bird catcher has set you free,
yet you still haven't taken flight?
You fear the outside world to be a bore?
You're still in your head, wondering what you might be,
might be that I held you too long
that all you can only do is sing a song?
Free yourself from my teachings.
Once more shall I teach you about letting go.
Take my teachings to be a tree
and yourself a lumberjack.
Swing your axe, one, two, three,
shout "Timber" as what I taught falls to the ground.
The roots? O' how one forgets the roots,
which are, to the tree, what a soul is to us humans.
Peek into your soul,
reminded shall you be of what you tried to forget.
Dear boy, why can't you let go?
Your "will" is only bound by chains of thoughts.
Is it that my name is engraved on your heart,
which forces your soul to stare at it?
"Forced?" Indeed for a soul is incapable of erasing a writing written by the hand of love.
