Death? Is that an end or
the beginning of something new,
You laughed and said "both
or 'Maybe' Either could be true",
It's still a contemplation
Yet you seemed as if you knew,
That what lies beyond death
Is a possibility of rebirth too,
I asked, "What then becomes of the memory?"
You paused for a moment and replied,
"Burnt or buried",
Fews seconds later, you burnt a flower and its leaves,
And then placed their ashes inside an urn to lie for eternity,
'I wouldn't want to feel like I'm immortal
If I'm graced with another life',
Was the last thing that you said
'Fore you left the train of thoughts in my mind.
