How are you ?
Quite a common phrase right!!!
Well, how many times have we said that
Without actually checking what it means?
Or rather what it should mean

It's become more of a protocol
Rather than a genuine check up

And the usual answer, 'I'm fine' or 'I'm good'
But do we ever wanna hear the real answer?
Maybe a 'Not good' , 'Not fine ' ?
And are we ever prepared to handle it?

Or do we wait for it to happen
Then realize we don't have the script
For such in depth conversations
Leaving the engagement silent
And the responder wishing they never revealed their true feelings

I'd rather you not ask than not mean it
So next time before you say that
Make sure you really MEAN IT !!!
