Eulogy of clear waters
I'll be as the mist on the morning
When the yellow meets the green
At your wake I'll be mourning
Pace my grief, surrender to dream

Goodbyes are exchanged by those who intend to meet again
Yet I am to swallow your parting with nothing to drink in but the rain

Cast yourself to the wind my friend
Be a spell, an incantation betwixt lip
Smudge ash of name in hand
Leave us all to soak at drip

Waters taps a song slips in drain
Sink, back to the earth love
Drown us in your absence, feed grain
Below you go as I stay above

I'll let you rest
We never needed many words
Between us a goodbye
Is best for the birds
