The pain is heavy, it never lifts,
It's like a weight, that never shifts.
It clings to me, and won't release,
Like a black rain, that never ceases.
It fills my head, and clouds my sight,
It fills my bed, and steals my night.
I can't escape, it's far too deep,
The pain it shapes, but I can't sleep.....

"My soul is empty, my spirit's gone,
My life is murky, my song is done.
The darkness holds me, with no release,
My thoughts unfold me, with no surcease.
I'm drowning deep, in misery's sea,
My soul's too weak, to set it free.
I'm trapped in night, I can't escape,
My fate is blight, with no escape....

"I feel alone, so utterly lost,
My heart's a stone, it's turned to frost.
My mind is numb, my thoughts are bleak,
I'm caught in slumber, with no release.
I'm lost in time, there's no escape,
My soul's a crime, without a shape.
I'm stuck in space, with no control,
My heart's a place, that's turned to coal....

"The darkness calls, it whispers "come",
Into the void, where hope is dumb.
I answer back, but it's in vain,
No words I lack, but nothing's plain.
I feel it close, but I can't see,
My eyes are closed, I can't be free.
It pulls me down, with no release,
My spirit drowns, beyond my peace....

"I see a glint, so very small,
A tiny hint, but all is gall.
It holds no hope, no light of day,
I hear no voice, just deafening gray.
The spark is false, I know it's fake,
I don't need help, I won't partake.
I'll let it die, I won't engage,
The spark will die, in endless rage.

"The light grows brighter, it pulls me close,
I feel the tighter, my heart exposed.
I move towards it, my body drawn,
It calls towards it, I am beguiled.
It tempts me in, with no return,
It draws me thin, with no concern.
It fills my head, with empty dreams,
It leaves me dead, with no more screams.
