My friend told me
" never fall in love "
"don't you dare melt"


I looked at her in the eye,

swirled her words in my mind
and realised,


I am incapable of falling may it be love or crush.

it's just not my wish.

I asked myself
is it necessary to fall in love
why do I need someone to survive .

she said
"that's what everyone thinks"
but they melt.

why can't she see I am not her .
my heart is chained
and the key is lost ,


I am living because
I don't breathe love
and I plan on living
because my life is not dependent on others ,
