I Am A Leafe
To the river, fields, and stones,
In simple code, I narrate my own.
At the edge of branches, I endure,
Unseen rain and wind I endure.
I only feel the whispering breeze,
Time elusive, as it ceaselessly flees.

Don't test me with storms in the sky,
Droplets cutting through my soul's tie.
I yearn for moist soil grains,
Where my spirit in solace remains.

My rapture transforms like the sunset's glow,
Emerging from shadows the sun bestows.
I shield you from the heat and dust,
In deep slumber, together we trust.

I hear tales of a distant land, the wind's decree,
Of lush companionship no longer to see.
Of fields of flowers and grass so green,
Roaring waves and deserts, a scene.

I am the desire that holds morning dew,
Dreams that echo in the quiet night's view.
Sorrow etched in stones, enduring and true,
Happiness imprinted in water's blue.

I am but a leaf, seeking joy with the sunset,
A poetic expression in nature's silhouette.
