Have you ever watched expressions
that come across the many faces of others
showing thoughts, emotions, happy, sad,
carefree, confusion, angry, or indifferent?

Expressions written in words
that seem to carry the flow,
expressions shown through actions
that leave the impacts?

Expressions shown in a dramatic way.
Expressions shown with straight face.
Expressions shown with emotions.
Expressions shown with sarcasm.

The many ways that are expressed
brings out the inner soul to be revealed,
where ones that try to impress
hides the inner soul from view.

Showing emotions we feel others want to hear,
afraid of what the inner soul may reveal,
feeling the dark side of life,
afraid of showing the light.

To show the true self,
we can’t let fear stop the expression.
That’s how we learn
our own articulation.
