IF I WERE TO MEET GOD
If I were to meet God, my questions would flow,
Why clay for my body, why glass for my heart's glow?
With the essence of love, my being You did fill,
Such wonder in Your power, a purpose to fulfill.

Is love but a dance of meeting and parting ways?
My heart softly aching, in love's bittersweet maze,
The agony it brings, the longing it weaves,
What crime did I commit, for which my heart grieves?

Lost in the depths of Your love, I find my whole,
In the embrace of Your grace, I surrender my soul,
For in Your divine presence, all questions find peace,
In the vastness of Your love, all conflicts cease.

So if I were to meet God, I'd simply say,
Thank you for making me in this intricate way,
Clay for my body, glass for my heart's art,
In the dance of love, I found my truest part.
