The Rendezvous
The Rendezvous
R.
The Gospel
And its liberty
Had a rendevous with me
It lifts my darkness
Every day
I feel the old way
Fade away
The sun and all its flower songs
Tells my sad heart where it belongs
Where angels sound
Twenty decrees
a new name is placed
Inside of me
The trees and all their
Reasonings
Decide what sonnets
My heart sings
The trees they grow
The trees they die
With winds eternal
Knowing why
How happy are my
Hands and feet
They clap and and dance upon a street
The Fool, Depression
Has to go
And so do its maids
All in a row
So meet me by
The mountainside
Where meet believers
Far and wide
You'll find your life
And lose it too
In the twinkling
Of a
Rendezvous.
