I saw a movie the other night
a true story about an Olympic team
so good it made me cry
and ordered the book

I attended a lecture on Bisbee
at the library this afternoon
He brought history to life
He signed my copy

My first time at the ASPS* Festival
I was inspired, tutored, mentored
Delighted with the experience
I brought home six authors’ work

I have neighbors dropping off
great stories they have read
They know I love to read
I pass the books along

Libraries, online and in person
Thrift stores and garage sales
looking over a shoulder
just a few ways of finding the next

Writing has become another part
of my love of words
So much more to absorb and digest
already so many lives and stories inside of me
