Never thought that fate would bring
them to such a tragic end,
for all I know there wasn't a thing
they'd have not done to defend.

It's midnight and the wind is strong,
there's a boy walking in the rain.
He never imagined he'd have to
go back to being a stranger again.

Once whose eyes used to shine bright,
now are looking at things in blur..
After all, he was once
the most precious thing to her.

He feels his heart screaming in ache,
his tears disguised as raindrops..
Wondering when it all will end,
looking forward to when this pain stops.

And there's this girl lying in her bed,
pillows wet, and eyes sore..
She's trying to let go of it,
but it's something she can't ignore.

Surrounded by all sorts of thoughts,
she has got no hand to hold,
no dream to look forward to,
and yet a heart so bold.

For there's still hope
though this one ends,
for the better some may say.
But who else knows but them,
they could've found
another way.
