Modesty
You look at me and call me oppressed ,
Simply because of the way am dressed ,
You don't love my religion and what in stored ,
But you give dirty looks and stare at my curves ,
You crave pleasure from my simplicity ,
I crave to be heard and save my dignity ,
If I do not cover up am more than just flexing it ,
Am flaunting it ,
So I take to Allah's command ,
And don't reveal for it is banned ,
I respect Allah's wills and wishes not because am perfect but because he is all knowing ,
So I wear my hijab and be easy going ,
I don't crave attention ,
I look at it with disdain of affection ,
It's just unpure relation ,
Claiming it's love and affection .
I keep my dignity till am a wife ,
Cause if not , am more than risking my life ,
I love Islam , so I fast and pray,
Not those who dance and slay.
