Roses
I see red roses, everywhere I go
They used to be rare, but now I'm not so sure.
In every corner, from temples and wedding stages
to places which are not so pure.
I see petals, lying on the floors
of schools, offices and libraries each day.
I wonder when did roses become so cheap
so as to be thrown away.
There's a broken twig in every single plant,
just as there's a broken heart in every home.
It's the same rose which used to adore our tombs
which now has its meaning gone.
