Walking in the dark
It seems I'm lost in a forest
the sun starts setting
the trees become indistinguishable
I start hearing unfathomable things
my sight slowly losing it's capability
"Is that a bear?" I thought to myself
oh no it's just a boulder,
the nonchalant owl, high up on the oak tree
looking down at me with pity-filled eyes.
Round and round I go
creating circles of despair.
How I hate doing so
wishing these feels could disappear
each time they reappear
they dig a hole in my heart,
what a disturbing piece of art.
At the end of this tunnel
I see no light
I turn left, I turn right
I still see nothing bright.
I'm in need of that spark
to keep me from walking in the dark.
