A Dog called Fluke
Abandoned and alone, he stood shivering in the cold,
With no collar or tag, he looked about a few months old.
My heart said, don’t leave him there,
So I inched forward and saw he was a cute little dear.
Matured in strength and height, he enjoys walking with me in the cool morning breeze,
His presence fills my heart with cheer, and in his company, I feel at ease.
Be it day or night, sun or rain, through the woods we roam,
His playful spirit and sparkling eyes could melt a heart made of stone.
His wagging tail has a rhythmic beat,
He makes me breathless and keeps me on my feet,
An attentive listener and loving companion in whom I confide,
In my trials and triumphs, he’s always by my side.
So here’s to my dog Fluke, a cherished friend,
May our friendship continue in this same trend.
