World Of Greed
The world of greed so hungry devouring us with -
Houses for rent, some for sale.
So expensive one has to sell their soul to Satan himself.
~Yet~
Here in hell - those with money -
Survive an economy
Where minimum wage
Less than fifteen an hour -
Is not worth their time of day.
&
Gas at five dollars a gallon -
Where less fortunate are driving on fumes -
More walking the sidewalks by the time of noon.
Everyone will be homeless -
Soon with rent and mortgages
So high makes me wanna cry.
Cities crumble & foundations fall
As the rich look upon the streets in awe
Their fingers tame to lotioned skin.
Silky smooth suites with rope ties -
Hung by self in fear of homelessness.
The working man broke - his spine to brittle
Their family starving, even the little.
Babies cry but have no milk -
As their mothers die
In rat infested filth.
This world of greed -
It belittles
The rich, the poor, the middle-class.
The grief is real, the grief is cloaked -
By business names and fine print
A government for themselves -
This is America - Welcome to hell
