Kill Orly P.3
(A crime of intrusion)

The rain was relentless that fateful evening when Orly, the man with a silver tongue and an iron fist, met his end. Jeanne, the woman who now sat accused, was the last to speak with him. Their conversation was brief, a mere exchange of necessities, as Jeanne had long learned to keep her words to a minimum.

Flashback to a year prior, Jeanne had been vibrant, full of life, and dreams that stretched beyond the horizon. That was before Orly. He swept into her life like a storm, charming and magnetic, promising her the stars. But as they settled into their shared abode, the facade began to crumble, revealing the narcissist beneath.

Each day was a trial for Jeanne. Orly's words, once sweet, turned venomous, laced with criticisms and accusations. His hands, once gentle, became instruments of punishment. Yet, to the outside world, he was a visionary, a tech genius on the brink of revolutionizing security systems.

On the day of his trial, the day he was silenced forever, Jeanne had been preparing for the aftermath. She knew Orly's enemies were legion, and with his demise, suspicion would inevitably turn to her, the partner who suffered in silence.

But Jeanne was no mastermind; she was a survivor. The "K. O." letter, a cryptic message that had set the social media ablaze, was Orly's doing—a final act of defiance against those who sought to control him. Jeanne had only discovered it after his death, hidden in a digital vault only she had access to.

As I recounted Jeanne's story, the jury saw not a cunning conspirator, but a woman who had endured too much and knew too little. The real question was not why Jeanne would kill Orly, but who stood to gain from pinning the crime on her.

The defense rested, leaving the courtroom in a heavy silence, pondering the truth behind Jeanne's tale.
