My dad
As I often reflect upon moments spent with my dad, it would be beautiful moments. Every moment I spent with my dad...was always a happy moment..My dad could add brightness into my day, even my dullest of days.

My dad was my role model...who loved life...lived life to its fullest. Today when I envision my dad...I can still get the aroma of delicious breyani fill the air ...as I entre the kitchen ..since I live far away from home. I can still see him smiling back at me ..on that one particular day...as I entered the kitchen ..

I remember that evening very clearly. My dad called me moonie..which means little doll...I meant a lot to my dad. Even when I fell ill due to depression ...and I could not further my studies...since I became very sick...during the exams...that made my dad feel so bad for me because he knew I had big dreams .I wanted to study medicine.

My dad always told me ..I'm very wise ..just like him ..because he was the owner of one of the best aluminium companies in KwaZulu natal...although he also suffered from depression and this is a difficult illness of the mind.

My dad didn't use his illness as a clutch and remain in bed ..and not wake up..He still woke up every morning although he felt so sleepy with the depression meds ..and He would go to work...just so he could provide for us . his family..

My dear dad passed away three years ago due to the covid virus. My heart felt an empty space ..a void once I got the news of his passing away. My world seemed so dull and without hope again...tears rolled down my face.. I asked myself ..why did the virus had to come to destroy lives...and especially my dearest dad's life. If only it never came about my dad would still be alive today..

God knows best..because God picks the best to be apart of His heavenly kingdom. It was just my dad's time to leave us. God's knows our time to be born and our time to die...I'm glad my dad made the best of his life. He lived His life as a legacy ..and as a good example that will be passed on to the next generations. Although he was rich..and gave us the best. He was also humble in nature...kind hearted and he loved life...He adored His three grandchildren very much ..He loved my two brothers and me, being his only daughter a lot. My mum was his life...his everything ..Both my mum and him was a team...at anything ...they did...they were inseprable.

I'm so proud of my mum and my two brothers Yesh and Ash who took over the business once my dad passed away...Today they all are an inseprable team ...and they are keeping my dad's legacy alive by running the business my dad once started .

My advice to you is don't take anyone for granted ..tell them you love them today .Don't wait for tomorrow, for what if tomorrow never comes! It was my birthday couple days ago..and my wish was to see my dad smiling down on me...and I know he is so proud of us..his family. I wished he was still alive ..I know nothing can bring him back ..but all I can do is live on the special moments spent with our dad. May his spirit and legacy still live on!
