The return of the long lost
Scene: One
A broken Family

I have always been curious about our origins, my siblings and I, i wondered how we were born because growing up my father was never in the picture. Unfortunately I have never had the opportunity to witness the romantic relationship between Moses and Maria, i mean my parents. They never actually got married, yet they gave birth to Samanda my elder brother, myself and Thina my little sister, while they were still in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. My mother said, they have plans and getting married at their 30th was first on the list.
Well, unfortunately, they eventually parted ways even before becoming a husband
and wife, that very common in today's society. So i'm not surprised why it happened this way.

Samanda was seven, i was four and little Thina was just a year old when they broke up, we were still young and clueless about everything. Althought this uncommon situation has left a lasting impact on us and my mother since she had to take care if of the three of us solo as a single mom. The most challenging thing was that she jobless and so she had to struggle and try her very best to score herself a minor job. Imagine a single mother of three who have nothing. Can you imagine the stress of raising kids all by herself.? Well i'm sure many many can relate to all the struggles she faced and the challenges that comes with being a single mother, i mean there is so many single parents who have successfully raised their childrens solo and those who are still struggling to overcome to these challenge. Just like Maria that time, she had to adapt to her her new normal and learn to live in this difficult situation.

One day ,i still remember in details it was during the festive holidays . By the way i was old enough by the time. My mother showed us a photo album and for the first time in century i saw this handsome man who charmed my mother. He looked exactly like Samanda, tall, dark and chubby and i knew it was him before even my mother said it.

"that your father, before you guys were even born. He was taking me out on an ice cream date".

Maria was smilling and blushing as she narrated her love story to us. She always says "eyes never lie" so in a distance I could see through her eyes how much she loved Moses. Offcourse i was still a teenager but i could understand and spot true love in a a person eyes .
I looked at my mom as she hold the picture with so much love and care before she hand it over to Thina who was seated right next to her. I notices this rare smile in her face and pure love written all over her eyes, I could hear her heart beat from where i was seated. I'm certain it was beating for her lost lover, Moses my father. It seems like their love was so special and passionate , well im just guessing because like i said i never caught sight of their romatic love at all.

To me to seems like my mother never moved on since my father left, i could spot a loneliness in her eyes and a longing to reunite with her husband. Seeing her that way made me catch some feelings, i felt sorry for my dear mom right there i wished maybe i could do something to bring her back in my mother's life. Over the past years i have seen a lot of mothers at her age with kids, getting married for a second or third time with new partners. But poor mom, she was still stuck in the past, maybe she was hoping for the best, maybe she had hopes that Moses will come back again and ask for forgiveness for whatever transpired between them and reuine their beautiful relations.
Honestly i really don't know what was roaming aroung ther thought that moment, but she was day dreaming and i can attest. Peeking as her acting so strange made me even find myself feeling more sorry for my mother, i mean It is never easy for anyone to experience a breakup before experiencing eternity together but i dont want to lie, my mother still have a spark for daddy.
