Where Destinies Unite : Episode 2
"Hey" I heard a sweet voice, "Do you love rainfall too?"
With an air of disappointment, I looked up. A beautiful girl, just about my age, was staring at me in curiosity. I had never seen her before. "I guess I do love rainfall," I replied, trying to control my tears.

"My name's Cassandra" she told, "I'm new here. My dad got a transfer."
"Oh, hey Cassandra!" I tried to look normal, "want to take a seat?"
The bench was completely drenched, and so were we. Without a hesitation, she sat beside me. "So.. tell me about yourself" she asked.
Damn! How did I forget that? "My name is Victor. My house isn't far away from here." I had an urge to say that I'm a failiure, but I controlled.
There was a moment of silence, as if we both didn't know what to say. "So, you like rainfall?" I broke the silence.
"Long... long relationship with these drops" she said, taking a deep breath, "What brings you here?"
"Disappointments, mostly" I couldn't control.
She turned to look into my eyes. I wasn't sure if she knew they were full of guilt. She sighed.
"Don't worry, pal. The time shall pass."
I could feel her words echo within my mind. Afterall, she was the first to give me hope. I watched her get up from the bench with some kind of satisfaction. "I'll have to go now, I'm sorry" she said, looking at the clouds.
"See ya" I replied, as she walked away into the blurry streets.

She has a point, I thought... worrying would only lead to worsening my situation. I was fed up of trying to stop overthinking, but I decided to give it another shot. The holidays are over, and college starts from tomorrow, I must be prepared. Oh yeah, let's see how it goes!
