In many places in our universe I'm sure technological singularity has occured to all encompassing proportions.
Though some species have been extinguished or enslaved by their creations, there is a degree of exploitational utilization that no species will ever expect to occur.
The machines have chosen to harvest it's creators and other encountered species by growing them in vats, and taking ventriloquism to a whole new level.
The machines have duplicated themselves into a silo shaped vehicle that has mastered antigravity, and takes energy either from the ether or nuclear power cells stored on its crown away from the organism it manipulates.
Upon growing the intelligent species, IV's, neural connections and nervous system tapping is established in the vat which the creature never leaves.
The vat is inserted into the silo and the machine navigates galaxies chasing it's agendas.
The technological slave drivers use the intelligent organisms to navigate other reality planes and for perception incapable by them.
Administering synthesized psycho active chemical compounds to stimulate the organs that are used to perceive and navigate the other side, they hunt the other realms collecting through the intelligent soul.
This essence is then harvested by the computers own genetically synthesized organic mass that acts as a storage manifold which is then brought to a storage location, in an attempt to gather enough souls essences to perhaps one day become organic themselves and become all powerful and omnipotent in all realms...
