Howling bullets at their fullest
Kick up whirlwinds with a flash.
Whirling concussions fill the air,
Blind by quick light,
And a flood of blood.
Dismantled prowling shrapnelled bone,
pierces fleeing flesh,
Threshing arteries deep within.

With loss of sight and extremities
These war veterans brevity
Has left them homeless on the streets
Tortured by the eyes that pry.
For all they know is to protect,
But now dying at our hands,
Praying it will all just end.
With no food or no water,
Clothing tattered like them within.
Here we are once again.
Take n take as they give -
What a life they have missed.

With guns ablaze while carousels rage.
Our kids are blessed
To be with us
As theirs are missed
The war goes on -
A fight that's won but lost within -
Just listen to this vet
As he speaks with his breath

The nervousness and
Neglect on our vets a damn
Shame all we do is
Defend and sacrifice our
Whole fucking life homelessness
Bites at me daily
If not a sin I'd blast my
Own chin should have died
In 08 tortured and peeled skin from
My meat yet poor as can be

This is how we thank them
This is our applaud
They protected us
Now we kill them with a nod.
