Simple yet twisted( Chapter 2:- Regretful reminiscence)
"Will he be okay doc?", Ri asked the doctor who was supervising Dan,worried to her last wit.
"Hopefully, yeah, what he's been through is an ordeal and he needs some straightening, nothing a full year of detox can't achieve, you see miss, his loneliness is killing him."
Ri was sweating profusely, she didn't want to lose her bro to plain old depression, but he seemed too intent on leaving the world.
Meanwhile Dan was out, lying on the bed, unconscious but having some blurred visions of him and Ella.
"If you never need to reveal unpleasant memories Ella, do know that I am always there for you.", Dan told Ella who was tear stricken, she had not told this minute yet very grotesque memory to anyone, not anyone not even her besties in school, somehow Dan made her feel like everything was gonna be okay, finally she'd be at peace with herself.
It wasn't like her work was being affected, but she had been so mechanical, after that incident, nothing made any fucking sense. She had been so head over heels for the guy who spoke some of the harshest words she'd heard in her twenty something year old life.

She wasn't able to face him since but then one day, almost a week later he checked on her and he was concerned, she gave him a warm hug of pure and utter loving, a bond was created.
"So Ella you finished your project?", Dan asked. She sat up and excitedly began, "So yeah, what I was working on involved complex calculus and a lot of paperwork involving....", but her flow of words was interrupted by Glenn, who was also the CR of her department.
"Ella sorry to interrupt, but Mrs Franklin is taking a remedial class on Topology, and she is taking attendance too, so you know..", he needn't elaborate, she was already getting herself ready for the class, she told Dan, who even in the state of apparent coma felt a major pang of guilt, "We'll meet in the evening :), bye Dan", she waved goodbye as Dan walked away into the blazing scorching sun, he had some coding to complete and no-one was going to complete his Visual Studio codes for him.

"No I refuse to believe it", Dan wailed, all the while clutching on to Ri like a drowning person clutches his lifejacket.
"But it's true Dan, look at me bro, you've gotta accept it, she won't talk to you, you're an athlete Dan, wipe the tears off your face, nothing ever happens out of accordance with the creator bro, she hugged him tightly, while he was sinking into mindless despair.......
