"I LOST IT."
Light sticks and banners with faces plastered on it greeted me the moment I stepped out to face the crowd. I beamed at them, feeling thankful for their support and warm welcome. The whole crowd went completely silent the moment I started humming the melody that draws me to this platform as well as the people that surrounds me.

Yes, I am famous singer.

I have lots of fans and supporters. I've got a whole team with me who is ready to obey my command. I live with a silver platter but all of this is a product of my sacrifice and hardwork. I worked hard and all of my efforts bear something which is of benefit to me and my family.

Before I stepped on the stage, I receive a call from my mother.

"Are you coming?" my mom asked with a tone of excitement.

"I'm sorry, Mom. I still have a concert to perform. I gotta go. I'm really sorry Mom." I ended the call and gave my phone to my assistant. Today is supposed to be the reunion of our family but I failed to attend because of this concert, I can't ignore and cancel this concert because it will greatly affect my career.

I was catching my breath when I stepped off the stage, I quickly get my car keys and jog away from the backstage only to be greeted by my fans. They're blocking my way while shouting my name and handing me their posters. Fortunately, the bouncers came and escorted me until I reached my car. I quickly drive out from there while some of my fans are still chasing me, I stepped on the gas and drive away.

The moment I halted, I scurried off from my car and entered the reunion venue but it seems like I'm way too late. All I see are people who are cleaning the venue, they are already clearing it up. With slumped shoulders, I walked away. I lost it again.

"Your sister is getting married and it will be next week, don't forget about it and I hope you will make time to attend her wedding. Don't let your sister down." my mom spoke from the other line.

"I will try, Mom. I'm really busy, I have this tour coming up and we are having the preparations for it." I replied.

"Please come to the wedding, your sister would be delighted to see you." she said and the line went off. I look down to my shoes, I massage the bridge of my nose while closing my eyes. I haven't got much sleep lately.

The days passed by so quickly that I completely lost track of it. My team and I are on our way to the airport when my sister called me.

"Will you come to my wedding?" that was first question that greeted me when I answered her call.

"I'm sorry, Sis, I can't. I'm leaving for my tour. I'm really sorry. I'll just send you my gift, best wishes." I said before I hang up and walk up to my private plane.

I lost it again.

"Honey, it's your Dad's birthday so you should come. You dad likes to see you." my mom said in a gleeful tone.

"Mom, I'm sorry, I can't. The tour isn't done yet but I promise I'll make it up to you when I come home." I replied to my mom.

"Okay, take care, my son." the gleeful tone can be sense no more instead it was replaced with sadness.

I lost it again and again.

I was facing the whole crowd with a smile. I am happy but I feel that there is something missing. There is this space inside me that isn't fulfilled even with this support that I got from my fans.

I exited the stage while catching my breath and beads of sweat are dripping down my spine. My assistant quickly handed me my phone gesturing that someone is calling.

"Hello." I greeted.

"Hello?"

Crying and sobs from the other line covered my ears.

"Mom? W-what happened? Why are you crying?" I asked slowly getting worried.

"I-it's your D-Dad." she mumbled while sobbing. My whole body went cold after hearing what my mom said, I know that something bad is going on. Without second thoughts, I left the venue without anyone noticing it. I quickly go to the airport and commanded my private pilot to take me home. The pilot obeyed without questions.

On my way home, I was restless. Finally, the long wait is over, the plane landed. I get off from it as my driver greeted me, I instructed him to go to the hospital where my Dad was confined. My mom texted me the address the moment the plane landed.

My hands are fidgeting while I was in the car on the way to the hospital. As soon as the car stops, I scurried inside and run to where my Dad is.

The moment I step inside his hospital room, I felt my conscience ripping me apart. My dad lay weakly on the hospital bed. I sit beside his bed and took his hands.

"Dad, I'm here. I'm sorry if I only see you like this." I said while holding back my tears. I saw my Dad smile weakly.

"It's okay, my son." he said softly while slowly closing his eyes as the monitor displayed a straight line.

The tears that I have been holding back has escaped my eyes. I was far too late.

Right now I am doing my last show before I will announce my decision. The people went wild after my last song and it slowly quietens up as I started speaking.

"First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your undying support. Without your support I wouldn't be up here. I enjoyed being up here and I wouldn't forget all of this but I have to say goodbye to all of you guys. This past few months is nothing but a heartbreak to me and I guess those time that I spent with you is enough , I think it's time for me to spend mine with my family. I will miss you guys but I have to do this, I will say goodbye to all of this. I will surely miss this." the crowd started murmuring while some of my fangirls are slowly crying.

The moment I step off the stage is the moment that I've been longing for but I guess I was far too late.
