It is special because of you
It’s Monday office hours, and Nirupam and Sushmitha are busy working on their upcoming meetings for that week.

Sushmitha,” Wow, how can she be so fresh and energetic on Mondays also”.

Nirupam lifted his head to see whom Sushmitha is praising, and it is Pragnya, their colleague in a senior position.

Sushmitha continued, “How can she be so flawless and do everything perfectly and gracefully?”

Nirupam, “Hmm”

Sushmitha, “I really admire her a lot”.

Nirupam gave a smile.

Sushmitha, “What?”

Nirupam, “What, what”

Sushmitha, “Tell me, what is it?”

Nirupam, “Hmm, I just feel she is like all of us, she handles things in a better way than us because of her experience, when we get that experience, we will also have our own way of doing things”.

Sushmitha, “I don’t think, I can ever be like her, she is something”.

Nirupam, “She is special because you made her special”.

Sushmitha gave a puzzled look at Nirupam, “I didn’t get it”.

Nirupam, “Whatever thoughts you feed your brain, your brain makes you see the same because your brain understood that these thoughts make you happy. Your brain makes you feel happy for every small thing she does, like her walk, her smile, her gesture. To make you understand clearly, everyone has their favorite actor or actress. We like them in one or other movie and feel very happy or emotional, the next minute we want to know on how they will be outside of the movies, we start admiring their pictures, their gestures and we start feeling them as special”.

Sushmitha “It's good right?”

Nirupam, “Of course, it is a good thing, there is no harm in it, the problem comes when they do something weird or any silly mistake or behave like a common person, like a small thing which we did not expect from them, that’s it, from the heights where we saw them as a special person we do not even land them on the same base where we are, we just sink them to bottom of the ocean, looking at them so low. we just forget them as common people like us and start hating them”.

Nirupam continued, “It's better to see every person as they are, not above or below. It is good to admire a person, but not beyond a point where we end up having expectations on them to behave in a certain way”.

Sushmitha,” You make a lot of sense, but it's really hard to look at every person like that”.

Nirupam,” I agree it’s hard, we just need to think that everyone is doing their job. And by thinking so, we might not like them the way we want, but we respect them for what they are”.

Sushmitha, “Hmm” She gave pause and continued "How come you are so mature and so “

Nirupam gave a look like what I just said.

Sushmitha “Yup, I got it, I will complete this first”.

They both laughed out loud after a few seconds.
