Somehow I was thinking about the same thing.
Being in the enemy's hands and waiting for fate is such a beautiful feeling.
You must try it too, totally recommended...
I started screaming for help and kicking the guards holding my arms tightly. Then I suddenly remembered, who in God's name will be roaming in this forest and will come for help to fight 20 to 30 armed men, even the general Store was 15 minutes away so there would hardly be anyone who'll hear my screams.
But I always believe in Try before you cry.
So I started crying and shouting, they suddenly kicked near the back of my knees and I fell to the ground. They made me inhale that same smelly thing which they had given me the day they kidnapped me and I started feeling dizzy again.
Upon opening my eyes , I found myself in the same room I was in 24 hours ago.
" Please don't torture me with the surgical instruments you have, I really don't know where that good-for-nothing man went away leaving me all alone", I pleaded the guard.
" One thing is true, that man is really good for nothing, and don't worry Ms Rivers, we won't use those tools on you unless you refuse to work with us", the boss said. I really don't know if he is the boss but he looks like one.
" What work do you expect me to do ? I am a history student."
Suddenly, my mind got an amazing answer for this.
I squeaked, " Oh wait! we are going on an adventurous expedition to find some treasure of the past hidden somewhere and you want me as a guide, right?"
As a little bit expected, they stared at me as if I was the most stupid woman ever, maybe I was.
"Or you want to know the location of some hidden map so that you may awaken an Ancient God", this sounded like a more appropriate idea for people who are hungry of power.
Another stare.... okay maybe it wasn't a good idea.
" We want you to read minds of people we deal with, only if you are needed and tell us their thoughts".
" That's it ?" I asked.
" Yes that's it", he answered.
