Hunger
Numbness and Hunger was all I felt.
Coldness was biting on my heart, but hunger was something else.
I couldn't control the hunger that I was feeling. I have been up all night since I got this nasty rash from an unknown source. I don't know what it did to me, only that this was quite different from any hunger I ever had.

I couldn't get enough, couldn't feed this undying appetite. I rummaged through my cabinets and refrigerator, but nothing looked quite as delicious as what was lying beside me.

My heart was pounding as my temptation led me. Easing my stomach cramped as I surrender to this dark hunger.

I knew I had entered the dark side of living.

I looked at my once beautiful husband Jeffrey

with the taste of his brain still dripping from my red lips. It was fulfilling, but it wasn't enough. I felt ashamed as I removed his reddish hairs from my lips. He did his best to fight when he realized that his dream woman was now his worst nightmare. His eyes went from fright to sadness as I fed off of him. I couldn't stop it if I wanted to.

My white pajamas were now tainted with his blood and the memories of my first meal. I needed more. I have to have more. I looked at the clock, hearing the front door. I would have panicked if my hunger wasn't calling me again.
I felt like I was completely dead but this hunger was keeping me alive. I didn't hesitate for a second before I fed off Jeffery and now that I had a taste I knew I wouldn't hesitate again.

"Mom, I'm home from school," my oldest son Bobby yelled.
I could taste him as soon as his scent tickled my nose.
The excitement started to build as my stomach growled, and I was soon about to enjoy my new favorite meal.

"Ok, you just in time for dinner," I yelled back, licking the rest of my dear Jeffrey from my fingers.
"Yes, this was a hunger that I could never satisfy."
