I Met A Stranger. Part Eight.
I didn't get it.

I knew Willows was strange from the moment I laid eyes on it. But I never allowed myself to indulge in the thought. For instance, when i first met Mr Tommy, he was supposedly lame. At least that was what he insisted. So when I saw him going for an early morning run, i decided to forget the conversation we had had.

But Mr Tommy wasn't strange to me. It was the night, nine years ago. The first time I arrived here. There was a meteor shower. I was sat in that same old bench in the back garden of the hotel. The meteor shower wasn't strange. What was strange was what it caused.

I found myself sitting in the middle of a yellow forest. It was broad daylight. I heard the sound of horses riding towards me, the sound of women giggling and little children playing around. I was sure i wasn't dreaming. But I couldn't move. I saw a figure walk towards me, but it was a blur. Why couldn't I see clearly?

It looked like a person. A giant. Shrouded in darkness. I heard the twigs and leaves crackle under its foot as it walked towards me.

It stopped right in front of me. Motionless.

Why couldn't I see clearly?

Then its arm slowly lifted as if to touch me. But before it could, I was back in the same old bench in the back garden. The meteor shower suddenly stopped and a white streak of light flashed across the sky like lightning.

And then it started to rain.

"When we first arrived here-", Mr Weather served hot chocolate to Noori. I looked at the silver rain and the darkness outside from his office window.

Noori was surprisingly quiet. She stared at steam from her cup and cosied into the warm couch in the corner away from the windows.

"-we didn't know",he sat down some paces away from me. He chortled as if to laugh at what he'd just said."I thought Willows was still in Orion... But then, we saw your..cars..drive past our town...and-"

The rain was strange.

"It's not rain",he stated as if to answer my thoughts. He stood up and walked over to where I was and looked out."That's called a song. It erases Willows from your world"

What was he-

"Tommy was out by the lake", he looked at me. I nodded ."He is the one who called for this midnight song. Willows was starting to appear on your map. So it had to be done"

My head was starting to hurt. What was he trying to say? That Willows is not from this world? That he's also not from here? The rain was strange, yes. Anyone in their right minds would find it strange when it suddenly gets dark in the middle of the day and the rain falls like silver flower blossoms that glows and falls in slow motion.

"Try to remember, Miss Blue",he went back to his chair."That's all you need to do for now"

I noticed Noori blurring in the corner.

What was happening?

"She's too tired to remember", he stated."try to remember everything about Willows if you want to find it again"

What-

"It's time to say goodbye for now, Miss Blue",he looked at me.

Why did he look so sad?

Then suddenly the windows opened and the silver blossoms flowed into the room to where I was and circled around me. The blossoms graced my skin softly and for a moment I heard a melody.

"Till next time",I heard Mr Weather say, and then i fell asleep.
