I'm Begging You, World

I am a child of no one,
At the dawning of dusk,

And I'm begging you,
Please,
From inside of my hollow,
My cavernous husk,
My cave of decay

Please,
Somebody,
Listen...

Cause I've so much to say!

I should not have to scream,
At the top of my lungs,
Just to be heard,
Over a choir of one

I'm telling you now,
That it's just plain absurd,
That nobody's heard me,
After 26,000 words.

270 pages,
And still I wait ages,
For someone to answer,
To tell me what they thought,

I'm begging you, World,
For somebody to trust

I'm begging you, World,
Before my bones turn to dust

*Don't worry about me, I'm doing fine, but I was just reading some poetry and felt like trying my hand at a shorter style of poem lately. I just like the sound of the rhymes in this one, and the like to overall look that it came out with. I hope you enjoy it too!*
