No Moment A Dull Care
I lay my head on a purple pillow
And wait on thoughts to paint me yellow
My cat licks my hand to say hello
Black mask on white body, I see his halo
Air in my room whisper silence so mellow
Wolves young and grey sigh and I follow
I sit that I may shake, wrestle and throw
Rich slumber cast from my head to toe
I press letters to escape my mind's hollow
Clear waters fill the boat I start to row
Streams of light enter my eyes and show
How sweet these words can sing some things I could borrow
Of what and how and why, my search then goes thorough
Breadth and depth of the soul I burrow
On strings of thoughts melodious I hope to sow
No day shall dull my bow and arrow
Though dreams of today speak of my bore and sorrow
Shy peeks of what becomes my tomorrow
I go beyond, draw colours from below
In the dead of the day I make my own hero
