striving for oneness and betterment

fighting for excellence and a better tomorrow
a land flowing with milk and honey
unfortunately, just for a few folks

to the victims of bad roads, police brutality and street violence
our blood, sweat and tears will never be in vain
therefore arise o compatriots, Nigeria's call obey
to serve our fatherland, with love and strength and faith
the labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain
to serve with heart and might
