Brave Pangolin
Now here is a tale,
Of one brave pangolin,
Born into the world
that is bent on claiming it.
It was made very special,
with its body in scales
like the deadliest snakes,
And a tongue like a gluetrap
to catch dinner in a pinch.
On the outside it's tough,
Hard and protected.
It rolls itself up tight,
And not once does it waver,
Not til the soft call of safety,
whispers in it's ear.
On the inside there is softness,
Warmth and comfort,
There is no danger,
Only welcomed embrace.
It yearned for...
