I'm a battle-worn soldier.

A love-torn heart.

I was cast ahead,

In an age of future,

Afar from my time.

The human in me obliged to save the world,

Over the prospect of dancing with you.

When I opened my eyes;

I was a man out of time.

Many herculean dangers I endured,

Many gruesome foes I confronted,

Strengthening me evermore, like each passing winter.

I befriended many brave warriors,

Who helped me save the world,

From each threat, dreadful than the other.

Yet the angst of parting from you,

Ever burning in my heart,

Searching for an opportunity to be with you again.

When fates favoured me,

When the portal of time opened;

When I saw you standing in the prime of your youth;

I decided to fight the fight of justice,

One last time,

And call it an end to my duties.

I've left my friends; I've left the new-age.

I'm back in my time and dancing with you,

After a century of being without you.

All in a hope of our lives,

Ending in a happy everafter.
