The Northern Lights
escape me
a sight I thought
I’d never likely see
Yet here I am
and there they are
celestial signs
glowing from afar
And if these
magenta hues
are some cosmic magic
or mere mortal muse
I for one
am hopefull
these symbolic hues
so cheerful
Will radiate compassion
kindness and cooperation.
So the wars of the world
will extinguish into the night
as does this
ephemeral aurora light
