TITLE THIS WHATEVER YOU LIKE
I left dark poetry
But dark poetry didn't leave me
It clung to my skin
Like the pigment of my melanin

It seeped into my soul
Like the rivers my ancestors drank from
Gently flowing pains into my veins
In a way that's soothing n' addictive

It wrapped around my heart
Like the coils of the serpent
That brought Eve apple
Tempting me to take a venomous bite

But like a child convulsing
Imma stick a stick in mah mouth
Till the stick bleed a white pap
From my dark POeTry
