My heart used to ache
for peace's sake.
My face flushed
at the sight of love,
it's been a while since I blushed,
it's like a feeling from heaven above.
Heartbreak after heartbreak,
I hardly had a break
from disappointments.
With a therapist, I had appointments,
"Love will be your savior." she said,
in the hands of love, I laid.
My lover and I are at a park.
An old couple saunters hand in hand,
their backs arc
yet, their smiles never end.
I'm glad I gave love one more chance,
now I'm celebrating with a dance.
