LIKE MIST
I lost a dear friend some days ago. I had communicated with him only a day before he passed. He was the nicest person you'd ever meet. Cool, calm and collected indeed. I mince no words when I say he's the meekest person I've ever known, and his patience is peerless.

I'd be damn right if I say he was indeed more than a friend. He was my brother.

His passing got me thinking a lot about life and all that pertains to living.

I am reminded that like mist, life is fleeting. There is a loved one, full of life and here with us today; tomorrow they are gone the way of all flesh.

We really need to understand that while we have the privilege and opportunity, we ought to place high value on people and cherish the sweet moments we are blessed to enjoy with them while they are alive.

This is how we all ought to live; this is how to keep regrets from adding more weight to the very heavy burdens we are bound to bear when we eventually mourn.
