The next day, Lia sat at lunch with Clover, but her thoughts were somewhere else. She mulled over the thoughts she heard that came from Noah's just before he'd left her apartment last night.

Lia: He said he wanted to properly confess to me! Now, I have to figure out how to prepare for this trip as well as this ...... confession!

Clover: Earth to Lia!

Lia: Huh What? Oh sorry Clover. What did you say?

Clover: Are you okay? You've been doing that a lot lately!

Lia: What do you mean?

Clover: You zone out while I'm talking to you, like you've got a lot on your mind! Is everything okay?

Lia: Well, she's got me there! I cant pretend that I haven't been lost in my thoughts a lot lately!

Lia: Can u keep a secret?

Clover: Of course

Lia: I think Mr. Kason and I both may be starting to develop feelings for one another!

Clover: OMG! For real? How do you know he feels the same way?

Lia: I don't know, there's just this really strong chemistry between us!

Clover: Ahhhhhhh

Lia: Shhh You can't say anything Clover!

Clover: Fine, fine, fine, your secret is safe with me honey! So did you hear what I said?

Lia: No sorry! what were you saying?

Clover: I was telling you about my cousin and her boyfriend!

Lia: Oh! What happened?

Clover: She read his diary and hacked into his social media accounts and read his private messages! He found out about it and got so angry at her!

Lia: Oh no that's terrible!

Clover: Honestly, I think they're both being dramatic and need to get over it! What do you think?

Lia: I think your cousin should respect his privacy! That's a pretty big violation of someone's trust!

Clover: I guess you're right! I'd probably lose my shit if my boyfriend did that to me!

Lia and Clover finished up their meals and stood, up preparing to head back to work.

Clover: Your business trip with Mr. Kason is coming up! What am I going to do without my lunch buddy?

Lia: haha oh stop it. We both know any one of the guys on the team would kill to be your "lunch buddy"

Clover giggled as she cuts her a sly wink.

Clover: Mabey so! but cute guys do not equal good company. You better hurry back!

Lia: I promise

Lia followed Clover out of the restaurant, and they both walked back to the office!
The week passes by quickly, and suddenly it was time for her business trip with Noah. As she was preparing to get dressed for the trip, her mind wanders back to the last week.

Lia: Noah's been a lot more subtle this week with his feelings, almost like I had imagined the whole thing! And sadly we've been so busy, I haven't had time to try and read his thoughts!

She wears a sexy dress for the trip,

Lia: If this doesn't grab his attention, nothing will! This is perfect.

She grabbed her bags and headed off for the airport. She sat on the plane next to Noah. The seats were so close l, she could feel his warmth from her seat. She felt Noah looking over at her several times, his gaze was lasting for several seconds each time.

Lia: Is everything alright Noah?

Noah: I'm sorry, you just look so beautiful today! That dress suits you every well!

Lia: Thank You Noah, that's very nice of you!

Noah gave her a sweet smile!

Lia: He's starting to show, his sweet gentle side again, but I don't want to make the mistake of crossing a line! Mabey I should just focus on work to be safe!

Lia: So should we read over the files while we're in flight?

Noah: You work so hard for me Lia, I think you deserve a break! It's a short flight anyway. Why don't we just relax and enjoy it?

Lia: Ohh Alright!

Just then the drink carts stopped at their row.

Flight attendant: Can I get you two anything to drink?

Noah: I'll have a glass of wine please!

Lia: I'll take a cup of coffee please!

The flight attendant poured their drinks and handed them before moving to the row behind them.

Noah: My father always used to tell me that a little wine makes the flight just fine! Corny! I know. But it's always stuck with me. So whenever I fly, I make sure I have a glass In his Honor.

Lia: You seem like you really respect your father a lot!

Noah: Yes. He was a great man, in business and in life. He taught me everything I know! My management style, my work ethic. He's even the one who taught me the importance of the poker face! He always told me that if competitors sense any weakness, they'll use it to bring me down in an instant!

Lia: You two must have such a close relationship!

A sudden shadow falles over Noah's face as he looked down at his glass.

Noah: My father passed away from cancer a few years ago! That's why I took over the company so early!

Lia: how awful!

Lia reached over and gives his hand a gentle Squeez! He looked up at her and smiled!

Noah: Thankyou, Lia. But I'm alright, really! It was tough when he first passed, but I threw myself into making his company the business he always dreamed it could be! It feels like I'm really making him proud!

Lia: I have no doubts that you are! I'll have to admit, it's really nice to hear how close you were to your father!

Noah chuckes lightly!

Noah: I know most people think that wealthy families don't really get along! but It's actually great to me!

She smiled and nodded as Noah told cute stories about his childhood. For the rest of the flight, enjoying each other's company. After landing, Lia and Noah picks up their bags and headed straight to the hotel.

Lia went to her room and immediately tried to turn on tue shower, but it didn't work. Annoying, she walked back into her bedroom wearing only her towel.

Lia: You have to be joking! Alm I want is a long, hot shower and the water doesn't even work!

She prepared to call the front desk, but she heard her phone beep, alerting her to a new text message.

THE TEXT MESSAGES ON HER PHONE:

Clover: How's the trip going so far?

Lia: Just arrived at the hotel! The flight was nice, but I'm tired and now the fucking shower in my hotel room doesn't work!

Clover: Oh no, that's the worst, I hope they get it fixed for you! Well there's another chapter to my cousin's crazy saga. Wanna hear it?

Lia: Yeah! go ahead and tell me what happened!

She waited for several moments, but Clover didn't text back!

Lia: Leave it to Clover to get my interest piqued only to get distracted and forget to text me back!

After waiting for a couple more minutes, she decided to try and call the hotel staff about the shower. Just as she was picking up the phone, there was a knock on the door.

Lia: Goodness, the whole world seems to be against me taking a shower!

She walked over and opened the door and saw Noah standing there.

Noah: .......

His ears immediately turned bright red that spreaded into his cheeks as he looked down at Lia.

Lia: Oh Jeez! I'm only wearing a towel! This is just not my night, or is it?

Noah: I'm sorry I didn't mean to interrupt you. I just had a couple of questions about this file! I - I can come back!

Lia: No, no it's okay, what's your question?

Noah pointed out what looked like a discrepancy in the financial paperwork, but she quickly explained it to him.

Noah: Ohh that's makes sense. I should've seen that, I apologize!

Lia: Don't apologise. That's what I'm here for!

Noah: Well, I'll leave you to your shower!

Lia: I wish, my shower isn't working. I was just about to call down to the front desk about it!

Noah: Of you don't mind, I could take a look at it for you!

Lia: Sure. Yeah, of course!

She and Noah walked over to the hotel bathroom. She stood back an watched as Noah reached up and fiddled with the with the shower head.

Lia: What is it about a man fixing something that is such a turn-on?

Noah: Ohh I see what the problem is!

Lia: Ohh What is it?

Noah: You see this small knob right here?

She walked over and stood close to Noah, leaning in to see what he was pointing at.

Noah: You have to turn this on before you turn on the faucet!

Lia: Oh I've never seen anything like that before!

Noah: It's ok. It's actually kind of dumb that they have both knobs!

Lia: Thanks for your help Noah!

She reached up and turned on the faucet, forgetting that Noah had already turned on the top with the first knob. Suddenly the water sprayed out of the shower right onto her and Noah.

Lia: Ahhhhhhh

She hurried to try to turn off the water, but as she does, she slipped on the wet floor. In her effort to keep from falling, her towel loosens, giving Noah a glimpse of her wet, naked body. She reached out and steadied herself on the wall, but as she does, her bath towel falls to the floor, exposing her completely.

Lia: .......

Noah: .......

Noah quickly turned around and faced the wall.

Lia: He's being such a gentleman considering the circumstances. It makes me want him even more!

Lia: Thankyou for your help Noah!

Noah: It was my pleasure!

He turned quickly and rushes from the bathroom, his cheeks and ears burning bright red. After Noah left and she finally got her shower , she came back into the room and got ready for bed.

Lia: I can't believe that just happened!

Suddenly her phone buzzed loudly, startling her. She picked it up to and saw a new text from Clover!

TEXT MESSAGES ON HER PHONE:

Clover: Well, I guess privacy does matter! He broke up with her!

Lia: ........
