Story #1 - Writer's Mind Unfrozen
Hello friends, old and new.

Well, I've been here a few days and it's been great. The thought of publishing on Writco makes me want to write more. That's something I didn't do normally, or I stopped, more accurately.

I've written a few poems since I got here. I thought that was all I was going to do but then I wrote three quotes which felt good. @Grandpa_calm especially thanks a lot for the comments on them btw, they motivate me a lot.

And now I'm writing a story :). With a poem in it. So that's like a poem in a story. You know like eating toast. (I don't know what I'm saying).

It's about my first poem. It was for someone special. It's called "Endless Emotion". The name sounds kinda cringe to me now thinking about it. You guys tell me what you think about it alright? Thank you!

I would share it before finishing up the story. That's me and my cloaked mind working together as one. (I'd talk about this in some other story later!)

Here we go :-)

Oh! You left an imprint on my core
Quite like a birthmark, if you will
I'd spend nine lives with whom I adore
Just as the Pisces are zilch without their gill

Beauty is what one might think of the color, Black
It's no wonder it's your favourite
What I feel for you is a bottomless well, no crack
With no future memory of its end in sight

You illuminate the room like a ray of light
I ask myself, was it the sun or her smile?
Yet I know of an element so bright
What we have not shared in a while

I am but a noob in poetry
But what you are to me is way beyond infinity

I had no idea how to write a poem, honestly. But a rather strong emotion made me do it. And I just picked up a pen and listed out different words that related to I and the person in the poem. And poof, that happened.

It was supposed to be a Shakespearean Sonnet (Really?! I know right) All I knew was that it had to rhyme in the sequence "ABAB CDCD EFEF GG". I was totally oblivious about the iambic pentameter.

I wrote just three poems before the ones you might see on my profile (Kindly check them out and tell me what you think :)) The one above and two others. But all three were about the same person and were inspired by the same person. I talk about this slightly in my poem "A Poet's Origin". I found writing about other things weird. I loved writing. But only when it was about the person.

Well, now the rules aren't that tight :), thanks to the many many poems that inspire me here. I see them and look in awe. The likes of -

Great writers. Love your poems, rhymes, flow, everything!

That's about it. If you got this far, thanks for reading, I really appreciate it and I hope we get to see a lot more of each other here.

Till next time.
