why is it that people remind you of different people, places, and situations?
"Something like this" was my ex-fiance's
and I's song. two individuals. a long life highway experiencing dual realities , learning along the way in a shared reality. It's been so long ago since they and I spoke to each other , once upon a time we were inseparable. now five years later someone else reminds me of them.
we had our rituals as all couples do either if They're conscious of them or not.

now this new individual is bringing me back to some of those rituals at the same time making memories come flooding back of my ex-fiance. I'm definitely not complaining, however I'm relishing within my reality right now. they're making fantasies come true that I've had for a long time. starting to wish I would spend more time with them taking in their presence consciously and effortlessly.

I remember when I left baton rouge had two roads before me. however, I just needed to choose wisely. although it wasn't the best relationship, there are times I wish I stayed. after all she was my princess, we were like two teenage kids just learning about the world playing video games and eating pizza at the same time sleeping in. I remember them fondly especially when we would get high.

the first time we got high I thought reality was morphing into one giant ball of cotton candy and I would have been fine if my story had ended there. I would surrendered all that I was just to melt with them.

Now once again I find myself with another who is just amazing and they too remind me of LSD cotton candy.
