---

I read the email, my brow furrowing with concern. I remembered Felicia's kindness and integrity from our college days, and it pained me to see her so broken. I hit 'reply,' my fingers steady as I typed my response.

"Felicia," I wrote, "I cannot ignore your plea. It's clear to me that you've been wronged, and I will not stand by while injustice is served. I will represent you, and together, we will set the record straight. You are not alone in this fight."

With a click, the message was sent, and this is the beginning of our new legal chapter together. Defending an old friend Felicia

A chapter where truth would battle lies, and where an old friendship would become the beacon of hope in the darkest of times.
